Fort Reno Community Garden

The Fort Reno Community Garden has been in existence for over 30 years, and sits on National Park Service – Rock Creek Park land at historic Fort Reno. The garden is very small, with only 12 garden plots 25′x25′ each. The garden is subject to all the rules of National Park Service gardens (i.e., organic gardening only, trash pickup responsibilities, et cetera). NPS delivers wood chip mulch occasionally, and the gardeners keep a small compost heap and toolshed.

To be added to the waitlist for Fort Reno Community Garden, mail a card or note to Martha Hamilton (garden manager) at 3615 Albemarle St NW, WDC 20008. They will be kept in order of postmark until plots become available.'
